December 5 Meeting

We had a great meeting last week. Christmas was definitely in the air as we had Pastor Stan come and speak to us about how we can teach the true meaning of Christmas to our kids. Here are a few quick notes:
*Wise people worship and give to Jesus.
*God so loved the world, that he gave! (John 3:16)
*When we give we become more like Christ.
*Giving is the highest form of living.

These were notes we got from a handout that Stan gave to us. If you would like a copy, let me know at the next meeting.
We also heard a song about how a baby changed everything for Mary when she gave birth to our savior. Discussion groups talked about how it must have been for her as well as how our own lives changed when we had our own babies.

Here are a few announcements....

Don't forget to bring a $5 gift if you wish to participate in the gift exchange next week.

Mom's Nite Out has been moved UP to this Monday December 15 @7p.m. at the Starbucks inside Glenbrook mall. Come do some shopping and then stop in for a coffee.

A big thank you to all of you that participated in the Christmas project this year. I know our family will be blessed this holiday season! Thank you for giving from your heart.

Have a great day and we'll see you at the next meeting which will be our Christmas party next Thursday December 18th! Take care!
